Roosevelt Green

began working as a Carpentry instructor at Sacramento Job Corps Center in November 2019. Prior to working with Job Corps, he worked with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters in Idaho and Los Angeles for nearly 25 years, gaining experiences he would later bring to his students at Job Corps. Roosevelt’s experience at Job Corps has been eventful, from centers shutting down due to the COVID-19 pandemic three months after he started to the shift to virtual teaching. Roosevelt’s students were able to push through and persevere through hard work and determination. He saw their dreams come true as they were accepted into the apprenticeship program and became union members.
