Lisa Maye, originally a Glenmont Job Corps Center graduate, is now the Medical Administrative Assistant instructor. She has worked on campus for nearly 20 years and instructs college-level courses, which help students earn national certifications. Lisa loves being an advocate for her students and going the extra mile to assist them however she can. 

brings over 40 years of career experience to her role as the Certified Nurse Assistant instructor at Gary Job Corps Center. She has worked in a variety of health care settings, including nursing homes and hospitals. Violet has taught at Job Corps for nearly 15 years and enjoys helping students jump-start their careers.

is the Carpentry instructor at Gary Job Corps Center. He is a retired U.S. Navy veteran and a small-business owner. Paul enjoys encouraging his students and making a positive impact on their careers and lives. 

Nicho Garcia has worked for the program for over 25 years. He brings nearly 35 years of industry experience and completed apprenticeships with the Operative Plasterers’ and Cement Masons’ International Association. Nicho enjoys motivating his students and serving as a positive mentor for them. 

is the Pharmacy Technician instructor at Gary Job Corps Center. She attended the National Institute of Technology in 2007 and has worked in a variety of pharmacies. Madelyn finds great reward in instructing Job Corps students and helping them find success in a career they love.

Lee Gomez has worked with Gary Job Corps Center for 20 years and has over 40 years of welding experience. He holds multiple industry certifications and teaches students foundational welding skills. Lee enjoys encouraging students to become successful and pursue careers in welding. 

is a Gary Job Corps Center graduate and now serves as the Advanced Human Services instructor on campus. Her educational background is in psychology and art, with work experience in human services, career services and adolescent development. Her roles in these fields give her insight into career skills to effectively train students in the field.

is the Electrical instructor at Gary Job Corps Center and has worked as an electrician since 1980. He has experience working for Exxon, Shell and Mobile and has worked overseas in Japan, Germany, Russia and Canada. In 2010, Kenny decided to use his knowledge to instruct students at Job Corps and enjoys guiding them toward success.

graduated from Gary Job Corps Center in 2003 and now serves as a Construction Foundation instructor. After graduating from Job Corps, he earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at Texas State University. Jose is also an entrepreneur and owns three businesses. He values his students’ success in finding a career in the construction industry.

joined the Gary Job Corps Center team as a Corrections Officer instructor after retiring from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in 2011. He holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Texas State University. Jesse is passionate about assisting students in pursuing a career in corrections or law enforcement.
